- In a saucepan, gently heat the extra butter, golden syrup, and condensed milk together, stirring until smooth.
- Spread the warm butterscotch mixture evenly over the cooled base. Bake again for 15 minutes.
- Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second bursts, stirring each time until smooth.
- Spread the melted chocolate over the warm slice. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until fully set.
- Cut into squares or bars once firm.
